Is SEP able to block attacks that will try to exploit this vulnerability ?

Symantec posts monthly TECH articles that list the Microsoft vulnerabilties and what, if any, signatures are available within SEP, IPS or Skeptic (email).  The main page is here:

    https://support.symantec.com/us/en/article.tech141637.html

Each month, a new article is added to the list.  I recommend subscribing to each monthly article to be notified of any updates they do, in case new detections are added.  Unfortunately, the subscription notifications don't tell you what was changed in the article.

At this time, it doesn't appear that SEP has a signature for detecting against this vulnerability, but due to the nature of the vulnerability, it may not be possible... You would need to contact Symantec for further information on that.

It seems we are missing windows 1709 updates for security Cumulative Update  --- or at least it is not coming down in the metadata.

I found that 1709 windows 10 Pro is no longer being updated.  so that is why it was not downloading.  But thanks
