I've been able to install the outlook standalone in a separate layer, stripping out the OSPPSVC, having a separate App-V layer in addition to the Office 2010 (without the outlook components) with the OSPPSVC removed. If you want Lync, I suggest capturing that in a layer instead of the base so that it'll run as the same level as the other Office 2010/Outlook 2010 services/registries and play nicely. Alternatively, install Lync to the Office 2010 (with Outlook) layer itself and forget about having a separate outlook 2010 layer.
