I upgraded our environment from 7.6 to 8.1 last night. Checking on computers this morning It appears they have all upgraded all of their agents to 8.1 except for the Altiris Software Update Agent. That's still shows on all systems at 7.6. All other agents are at 8.1. I took a look at the Site Server and see it also has the 7.6 version. On the notification server I do have the Software Update Plug-In Upgrade Enabled. I also see that all of our computers need that upgrade. Not sure why it's not actually upgrading the agents though. Any thoughts or fixes to kick the agent upgrade off? Thanks so much for the help.
Have you connected in a machine and saw the logs? Have you seen if the Altiris agent tried to upgrade the plugin?
Sometimes the agent tried to update, but fail for some reason. Opening the agent you will be able to collect the command line to update the agent. Then, open the command prompt and run the command line by yourself.
Thanks for the reply. I'll check that out and see if I seen anything on the client logs. Took a quick look earlier and nothing stood out or showed as a failure but will go through more thoroughly. Thanks again.
Got it sorted out. Looks like it ran once on agents and failed or was busy. I didn't have the repeat option enabled so it just tried the one time. Once I enabled that it started to update all of our clients.
