  • 1.  what is the difference between PGP and SEE.

    Hi?

    I am very confused with PGP and SEE.

    These products are same or not ?

    I heard that PGP will be discontinued in 2018 but SEE is not. Is this true?

     

    Please provide the exact information about this.

    The Symantec Endpoint Encryption product is different from the PGP Corp-heritage products (Symantec Encryption Desktop and Symantec Encryption Management Server).  Symantec Endpoint Encryption provides encryption of hard drives and files stores on removable media devices.  The Symantec Encryption Desktop has components for Drive Encryption, Desktop Email Encryption and File Share Encryption. There are no plans to discontinue the SEE, SED, or SEMS products.  You can check the product support pages for information about when specific versions of products reach their End of Support Life.
