The simple option is to enable SNMP Traps and point them at the Altiris Server where the Event Console runs and import the SNMP MIB's.
Event Console is an SNMP Trap Manager (Receives and Forwards SNMP Traps).
Second option would be to use the Dorado (Redcell) Integraton into the Symantec Management Platform. Cisco Works and FortiManager are management products made specifically by those vendors to manage their own gear. A key element of Redcell is that the product is built to manage different device types in a heterogeneous vendor environment from a single view similar to what ITMS does for both Clients and Servers.
Current version is v6 SMP Integration with v7 scheduled for the end of year.
