  • 1.  SEP12.x clients using Proxy for GUP

    Posted Jun 11, 2015 02:29 AM

We are experiencing issues where all the SEP 12.x (RU1 to RU4MP1 clients) clienst is using the web proxy to download updates via the GUP which is local which in turn is causing slow bandwidth for internet use.

Anyone have a fix that prevents SEP client getting GUP updates via the proxy server - besides the obvious one to set the "bypass" option . Problem is that we have over 400 GUP's in our environment and not all machines have the proxy settings enabled and not all have the same GUP.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Can anyone advise if whether the external comms setting can be causing this as we were told it should only be used for submissions and lookups? Is the setting purely for client submissions or will it include updates to the GUP as well?
