  • 1.  Upgraded from 12.1 to 14Mp2 - tabs missing on console

    Posted Jun 15, 2017 02:54 AM

    Hi,

SEPM console worked fine with 12.1 and the network guys opened ports for viewing all tabs . After upgrading to SEP 14MP2, the 1st three tabs are not displaying? What new ports are required for SEP14 MP2 that is different from running SEP12.1? The IP address and hostname of the SEPM stayed the same.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Are you using a proxy?

In IE is enhanced security enabled?

Can you telnet to port 8014?

Have you updated java on the SEPM console?

Are you using a proxy? Yes, the ports were already configured for SEP 12 but why should it not display now?

In IE is enhanced security enabled? No

Can you telnet to port 8014? Yes

Have you updated java on the SEPM console? I downloaded the java console from the link provided when you go to the webpage for SEP.

    Try following this article

    https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH156875.html

Also try running SymDiag on the machine should highlight any communication problems with your SEPM

I know that its the internal network as when I connect from outside the network , I see all tabs.Requested the networking guys to check all ports for remote console are open.

    Hi,

did you use a MS SQL Database or embedded database?

Did you re-run the Server Configuration Wizard?

MS SQL: Did the Wizard request SA credentials?

With SEPM 14 we introduced a new user called Reporter which is responsible for the first tree tabs, HOME, MONITOR, REPORTING. Normally this user has the same password like the user who is used to connect from SEPM to MS SQL DB.
