  • 1.  Does anyone have a Discover Server setup with RHEL 7.2?

    Has anyone had any luck setting up and scanning with a 14.5 RHEL discover server? If so was there a trick to get it to scan a Windows file share?

    We have it installed but it will not scan a windows file share. We have worked with support and striking out. Any insight would be greatly appriciated.

    hi chris,

     Are you able to access this windows file share from your linux server ?

    Please let us know how this windows file share are accessed from windows (nfs / smb / .... ?) and now path was configured in scan target.

    is there any specific error message in discover log files ?

    We were able to get the Linux server to mount the Windows share successfully, once we used cifs-utils. So the credentials cannot be the hold-up for us.

    What error messages did you get when you try to start a scan ?
