    Hello all,

Does ITMS 8.5 support SQL 2017, and if so, which server mode the SSAS need to be installed in for IT Analytics (Tabular or Multidimensional & Data Mining)?

FYI:  I see that SSRS isnt part of the SQL 2017 installation anymore and that it is now a seperate download.

    Thanks in advance, SK.

    Hi,

No, only SQL 2016 with SMP 8.1 & SMP 8.5.

    Thanks!

Can product management please let us know when this support will be available, as I believe that SQL 2019 will be released next quarter.

Why is it taking so long to support new SQL releases?

SK, Symantec never provide product roadmaps. Never. You will have to subscribe to the above TN and when changes are made, you will need to check and see if SQL is supported.

Otherwise, there is always an Idea you can put in.

I do have SQL 2016; however, we are in a situation where we have to use the latest Microsoft product releases for new builds.

Can someone at least answer my question concerning SSAS as I couldnt find it in the ITA documents?

    Thanks, SK

    Hi SK!

To use SQL 2017 with IT Analytics (once supported), SSAS should be installed as Multidimensional & Data Mining.”
