    Hello all,

    I have just cleanly installed SMP 8.1 RU4 on a clean Windows 2012 R2 server running SQL Server 2016 SP1, and have found that it created its LDF & MDF files within my SQL Server's root directory location (E:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL13.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\DATA) instead of my SQL Server's configured database locations: 

     

    Has anyone else experienced this?
