    -------------------------

Notes from the CA Service Assurance User Forum Meeting held 11th June 2013.

Below are some comments and key thoughts and ideas presented during the user forum session on the 11th June, this is not an exhaustive list by any means but hopefully captures some of the key comments and ideas.
The forum agreed we should try to hold these sessions every 6 months, so the next session is due in December.
We agreed that deep dive technical presentations rather than roadmap presentations would be preferable every 2nd user group meeting. The following are some ideas for those deep dive presentations.

    Ideas for presentations:
    CABI 3.3 Upgrade best practice
    Service Now integration for Spectrum
    Web Services / Restful API
    Upgrade assistance / best practice.

    Ideas for next meeting:
Instead of trying to have a “User Presentation” slot we discussed the idea of getting a list of topics from the members to make the round table discussion more interactive and useful. To help with this we discussed the idea of every member providing one “Question” and one “Thing I’ve Done”.
Questions from Community – A reminder sent out 1 month prior to meeting to ask what issues and questions member have to produce a list of questions for the meeting. Agreed with this information we could better guide CA in the key topics of the time within the community. A list of these questions will be sent out with the next session meeting invite.
One thing you’ve done with Spectrum – All users to provide one thing you’ve done with Spectrum which could be used to kick off topics and questions during the sessions.

Additionally we discussed the idea of a separate class room session where we can use the CA Labs to discuss topics of relevance to members. Suggestions were on IM 2.0 installations, and Web service / Restful API usage. These sessions could be held on a different day to the User Group meeting and attended by anybody that is interested.
