CA is happy to announce the Alpha and Beta programs for Workload Automation AutoSys Edition r11.4!

The Alpha program will include the WA AE Web Interface (also known as Workload Control Center, or WCC) only, so testing will focus on WCC and its backwards compatibility with WA AE r11.3. While the software will not be production-ready, it will not ship with any known critical issues. Customers will communicate directly with the SWAT and R&D teams to investigate and address any problems, questions or comments. CA plans to release only one full build for Alpha testing although hot fixes may be released if a critical blocking issue is discovered. I should mention that r11.3 SP1 will be required on the AE side.

The Alpha program will run for approximately one month, starting around the end of May.

The Beta program will include all of the components of the WA AE r11.4 release. As with the Alpha program, customers will communicate directly with the SWAT and Research & Development teams to investigate and address any problems, questions or comments. There are at least two full builds planned, the initial release and a release candidate, plus incremental hot fixes as appropriate.

The Beta program will run for approximately three months, starting around the end of June.

I invite you to join these programs. The Sprint Review program has been very successful in modifying our priorities and implementation based on constant customer feedback, improving the value of the release. The Alpha and Beta programs are similarly valuable ways to help ensure that the final r11.4 release will meet your needs. You can sign up for the Alpha and/or Beta programs here. System requirements and a description of the key changes in r11.4 are posted at that site as well. (If you've already been participating in sprint reviews you don't need to sign up again; you will receive an email directly.)
