    Brocade DCX 8510B - 8gbps switch to IBM 2499 DCX 16gbps SAN switch migration

    While we migrate AIX power system for Iseries servers the virtual WWPNs configured to the physical WWPNs (adapters) in AIX is not logging into the new fabric. Where as the physical WWPNs are logging in successfully.

    Could anyone please give us the clue / fix for this issue?

    Thanks in advance!

    @RMKV

    such behavior is in most case after migration, is related to different DID / PID - Switch Domain ID / Port ID

    you need simple to do on HBA side a refresh / rescan, and should be able to see PLOGI

    additional, it is suggested on AIX to set the port on switch side as fixed speed and not AN
