DX Operations Observability (DX O2) is evolving to include robust infrastructure (host) monitoring.
This session will begin with a foundational understanding of the Unified Infra Agent (UIA) and then provide a deep dive into the new streamlined onboarding process for the Compute Device Monitoring probe (CDM ) within the DX O2 SaaS environment. These updates improve efficiency, clarity, and control –making DX O2 a more unified solution for Server Administrators.
A few highlights to learn about:
-
Monitoring Configuration Workflow: A new, guided, step-by-step workflow ensures easy and predictable setup of monitoring requirements, thresholds, and reporting policies, reducing misconfiguration.
-
UIA Extensions Callback Support: The UIA now supports callbacks for its extensions (like the CDM probe). This architectural enhancement allows the base agent to dynamically manage extensions which simplifies deployment and creates a more resilient, modular framework where extensions communicate status and configuration needs.
-
Inventory Management with Group Creation Enabled From Discovered Entities Tab: Discovery is integrated with inventory management. Administrators can immediately create logical monitoring groups directly from the Discovered Entities tab after discovery, accelerating organization and policy application for new infrastructure.
