Tech Tip :  CCR exception reports shows no data for High or Bottom dashboards

Oct 27, 2014 11:48 AM

These CCR exception report show only data in the High and Bottom dashboards

when the threshold has been exceeded.

So for example  the Top CPU Consumer or Bottom memory Consumer will only show

data when there are hosts exceeding the Top threshold or below the Bottom Thresholds

These thresholds can be adjusted in the Data manager interface go to configuration settings

select CCR settings page .

This list the thresholds which can be adjusted .

See also the Capacity Command Center admin guide chapter 2.9.5 for additional  details

about the thresholds .

FYI,

I have found the easy way to get those reports to show something is to adjust the values on the CCR Parameters page in Data Manager GUI (Configuration Settings, select drop down and chose CCR Parameters) - version 2.6 only.

To make returning these values back to normal quickly I just reduce the values by a factor of 10.

So if the original values is 60, then I make it 6.

Do this for all the settings and then reload the CCR report...it looks much more interesting!
