Logmon Time Formatting Primitives Error:No such file or directory
Document ID :
KB000072166
Last Modified Date :
26/02/2018
Issue:
Logmon 3.x is not matching the files contained in the specified path when using Logmon Time Formatting Primitives.
I have a log that changes name every day based on an abbreviated week day variable. Even though the file path is set to match it correctly using the %a variable, the probe generates an alarm saying:
Error:No such file or directory
Example:
robot logal filesystem contains log called: /folder/subfolder/application_Thu.log
logmon.cg:
scanfile = /folder/subfolder/application_%a.log
Logmon generates alarm:
Error:No such file or directory
Environment:
UIM 8.x
logmon 3.x
robot. 7.x
Cause:
This issue may be caused by the Nimsoft Service Controller that is accidentally ran by a user not using english locale.
If the user running the Nimsoft Service Controller is configured with a Spanish locale, the variable "%a" will return "Lun", "Mar", "Mie" etc. instead of "Mon","Tue", "Wed" causing the issue.
Resolution:
Verify what is the locale used by the user running the UIM robot
