CA Privileged Identity Manager Tech Tip by Hirokazu Miyahara, Principal Support Engineer for 2015/12/22.

About trace_file_type token in seos.ini file.

We can set "text" or "binary" into trace_file_type token in seos.ini file.

"text" -> the trace logs in seosd.trace file are stored as text.

"binary" -> the trace logs in seosd.trace are stored as binary.

So if we set "binary" into the token, we cannot show the trace logs with vi editor.

we need to use "secons -tv" command to show the trace logs.

Also, we need to enter "Ctrl-C" to stop the "secons -tv" command.
