Tech Tips: Workaround for "Some components are configured with non-production database (Derby)" warning message on Portal

Oct 03, 2016 02:29 PM

Issue:

When bringing up the DevTest Portal Login page, there is a message that says "Some components are configured with non-production database (Derby)" and shows that the Enterprise Dashboard is the component connected to Derby when it is not. When when you login to the Enterprise Dashboard, it shows it is connected to an external database.

Workaround:

There is a workaround for this issue until is gets fixed in a later release:

Add this property:

lisadb.dradis.poolName=common

after below lines in site.properties file.

lisadb.acl.poolName=common

lisadb.broker.poolName=common
lisadb.reporting.poolName=common
lisadb.dradiscache.poolName=common

Restart your Registry, Broker and Portal.

One note of caution: If the Enterprise Dashboard is using really Derby but Registry is not, there will be no warning message.
