Logs contain key information for incident response and post-incident analysis. Smart use of logs during triage can help teams resolve issues quickly and more precisely with better root cause analysis. Given the high volume and velocity of log data, one challenge for practitioners is correlating logs to inventories, alarms and applications. With better understanding of the internal system from correlated and contextualized logs, teams can reduce mean time to resolution, gain insights to improve application reliability and performance, and transition from reactive to proactive monitoring. In this session, we’ll share how the logs-in-context capabilities of DX Operational Intelligence, combined with conventional application monitoring data, can jumpstart triage and simplify root cause analysis for SREs and DevOps.
