Abstract:  What does Smart Instrumentation do and what not? How can I make monitoring of components detected by Smart Instrumentation permanent? How can I promote detected entry points to Frontends?

Andreas Reiss has over 15 years experience in IT and is holding several IT certifications like MCSE, Sun Certified Java Programmer, Sun Certified Java Developer and Sun Certified Enterprise Architect. In 1998 he started working as a Systems Engineer and Application Developer. From 1999 to 2006 he worked for one of the largest German banks in various positions in architecture, design, analysis and implementation of several server components (Java Z-OS/CICS), performance tuning, conception and implementation of the world wide first real time high performance booking engine. Prior to his position at Wily, he held the position of Java Lead and J2EE architect. Since November 2006 he's been working for Wily/CA Technologies.

 

After various Services and Pre-Sales roles, now as a Principal Engineering Services Architect in the APM Global SWAT Team he works on product extensions and innovations and as an Advisor to Engineering and Product Management.

Guenter Grossberger joined CA Technologies in 2009 having worked as Software Engineer, Presales and Professional Services Consultant since 1999. He spent 5 years as Presales consultant covering Austria, later also Germany and Switzerland being responsible for all technical sales activities for the APM and Service Assurance portfolios. In 2014 he joined the APM Global SWAT Team as Senior Engineering Services Architect and moved to the CA APM headquarters to Santa Clara, CA. He is remediating customer escalations, training customers, partners and CA colleagues, developing extensions, very active in the CA APM and APM Developer Community and working with product management and engineering on new APM capabilities.
