Until the 5th working days (including WE if there's a WE between the 1st and the 5th working day)

Dear All,
I need to schedule 2 different $U batches:

* Batch 1: should run from the 1st working day to the 5th working day, including the weekend if there's a WE within this period.
* Batch 2: should run after the 5th working days until the end of the month.

I did several tests but I cannot get the expected result.
Any idea?

Je dois plannifier 2 $U batches differents :

* Batch 1: doit s'exécuter du 1er jour travaillé jusqu'au 5ème jour travaillé, y compris le week-end s'il y a un samedi ou dimanche entre ce 1er et ce 5ème jour travaillé.
* Batch 2: doit s'exécuter après ce 5ème jour travaillé jusqu'à la fin du mois.

J'ai fait plusieurs tests, mais sans succès

Is this on Dollar universe?

Usual way is to set up a task then apply a rule which is valid only on the first 5 calendar days of a month. See below for a rule and then applied to task which was simulated.

• Rule - only valid for first 5 days of the month

• Task Simulation - only runs first 5 days of the month

For the second batch can set up a similar rule (but reverse) but this time make the first 5 days of the month UNauthorised

Yes this is for Dollar universe
Maybe I was unclear: First 5 working days means for instance:
example 1) from Monday to Friday -> then there would be no weekend in this period
exemple 2) from Tuesday to Friday = 4 days + the next Monday -> Total working days = 5 -> but there's a weekend in this period

So yes, the tricky point is to find the proper rule for the 1st Task, then the 2nd Task would be scheduled by excluding this rule.

Ok get you now, for the first shedule one way is to use 5 different rules then apply to your task. 1 rule for each work day of the month with an offset to the next valid day. Then when all 5 rules are applied to the task if a workday lands on a weekend or holiday it will offset to the next valid day.

• List of rules

• Rule for Third of month 

• Offset to next authorised day

• All 5 rules applied to the task - ensure start date is start of a month

• Simulation for first 5 days of month - this was against a test calendar with extra closed days added at start of Dec

• Test Calendar used - extra closed days in Dec - schedule works as expected

In a similar way the run from 5th work day on can be calculated. if it is assumed that the first 5 days of a month could be followed by a max 4 hols (for say easter) then you need to have a rule for every work starting at the 9th calendar day of the month with no offset.

To allow for the days 5-9 possibly being allowed an additional 4 rules are required for 6th,7th,8th and 9th calendar day of the month as for the first task with the offset.

Where multiple rules validate on the same day only 1 schedule will run.
