Is there any way to use the transport case in AAKE?

    Hi Michael,

The transport case in AAKE can be utilized in a similar manner to its on-prem counterpart. Since it essentially works with the Automic Utilities, which establishes a direct connection with the AE Database, there is no need for any additional configuration specific to AAKE.

    Best regards, Arun

The AE Utility programs run only on Linux and Windows. One of the points of using AAKE is to eliminate dedicated machines & VMs.

AAKE v21 introduced a dedicated REST API for loading RA solutions into the AE DB (POST /{client_id}/system/ra-solutions) . However, to the best of my knowledge, Automic Automation provides no corresponding REST APIs for the other functions of the AE DB Utility programs.

Has anyone successfully created Docker images for the AE DB Utility programs?

    Hi Michael,

I agree, I hoped it was offered as part of the AAKE solution out of the box.

However, if you are interested to use a containerized version of utilities, then you could explore something like Kubevirt to create a containerized VM and setup the utilities there. Although, I have not tested this yet, it would be interesting. I will let you know if I have any luck.
