Is the Rank field available on API?

We wanted to use the Portfolio Item Feature API to Rank Features.  We thought the DragAndDropRank field would be the unique sort, when when we compared a few records back to the actual rank in the portfolio item list, they were not in the same order.  I know that I won't necessarily find 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, but we were hoping to find a list that would allow us to sort them based on the selection and then assign "rank".

We also tried the field on the excel plug in "Rank", but a lot of the records showed the same value.

Any ideas?

Hi Sheila,

The field I believe you're thinking of is called DragAndDropRank.  Unfortunately, due to the complexity of ranking items relative to other work items, this field is not very human friendly and a bit difficult to work with.
