  • 1.  [ERROR] PPM 15.9.3 X MS PROJECT 2016

    Posted Dec 29, 2022 09:42 AM
    Hello friends!
Hope you all had  have a lovely christmas.

    First things first:

    Our users enviroment:
    OS Windows - Portuguese/Brazil
    Ms Project 2016 - Portuguese/Brazil

    Our PPM enviroment:
    OS Linux Suse
    PPM 15.9.3 - Portuguese/Brazil
    HTTPS

    The problem:

The problem is that when we download the schedule from PPM we are not able to open it on Project. MSProject locks and throw us this error

Recently we have changed the HTTP for HTTPS and we know that we need to change the configurations(Port and SSL) if we want to connect to PPM using the PPM Integration menu item, but even doing this it´s not possible to open the downloaded schedule.

The problem with PPMXMSProject integration it´s not new but this time our users are not able to work because of this.

Do you know where can i find Ms Project Log ?

One of you already faced this issue ?

And yes, we did all the recommended ste up and the integration used to work, not 100% fine, but had work.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello Diego,

Did the issue start right after changing HTTP to HTTPS?

Double check the URL in the CSA > [server] > Application > Scheduler Entry URL. This should be something like:
    https://app.mycorp.com
    http://asia_app.mycorp.com:8080

(do not include /niku/nu, ensure that http:// or https:// is included as necessary, and specify the port if it is different than the default - 80 for HTTP and 443 for HTTPS)

    https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/business-management/clarity-project-and-portfolio-management-ppm-on-premise/15-9-3/administration/csa-clarity-ppm-system-administration.html#concept.dita_e9980e5edc69c70b4c108c07690b4b51c01df268_ApplicationServerProperties

If you use a Load Balancer, you may want to try with a direct IP and port to a specific app service instead of the LB address.

    Best regards.
