    Hi,

It is possible to monitor the availability of the device link as per image below in CA Performance Center? For example the link of CISCO device such as Ethernet link (Interface/port). If possible then how? Thanks.

Availability for an interface is based on ifOperStatus and it's a Metric for all interfaces being discovered.

    Hi Mohd,

Yes, you are able to monitor the availability of a device interface.  This can be accomplished by modifying one of the context page dashboards to include interface availability as shown below or you can create a group with that interface or group of interfaces you want to monitor then add a dashboard for availability where you can monitor that single interface or group of interfaces.  Hope this helps.

As Catalin mentioned, Availability is only the current value of ifOperStatus for the interface.  Whether it's UP or not UP.

It doesn't track our ability to poll the interface.  We don't poll each individual interface by it's IP to see if we can reach the interface.
