Tech Tip : CA Single Sign-On : How can I force users to change password every 24 hours?

Question:

We are currently using Password Services only for some accounts to access temporary to the system, and we would like to know if we could force these accounts to change the password every 24 hours, as these are special accounts. Is this possible to do with Basic Password Services or do we need to use Advanced Password Services?

 

Environment:

Policy Server R12.52 SP1

Answer:

You can achieve this with Basic Password Services by configuring the Expiration settings. You have to enable the "Force password change" checkbox under "Password expires if not changed" section, and set "After days" to 1.
