When a third-party product reaches the end of its primary or mainstream support, CA Technologies will no longer provide support for that third-party product or any CA Spectrum components that interoperate with the third-party product. Third party products under extended vendor support are not supported by CA Technologies. Examples of third party products are: web server, application server, operating system, database, etc.
Starting 2017, MySQL announced ending support for OS versions that are obsolete or have reached end of life, and have discontinued building all MySQL binaries for Red Hat Enterprise Linux v5 as of April 30, 2017.
CA Technologies is continually working to improve our software and services to best meet the needs of our customers. Please consider this letter your written notification that we are discontinuing support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux v5 beginning with the release of CA Spectrum 10.2.2.
We recommend updating to a version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.x or 7.x. or using an alternate Operating System platform. By doing so, you receive the latest updates of third-party products.
