Question:
I have modified the default significance parameter for the 'Computer System' class from 5 to 8. But still the significance of 'computer system' CIs show up as '5' which is the old value.
Solution:
=> When we set global significance, it applies to new CIs that you create after the change. Existing CIs retain the previous significance for the type.
=> When we change significance for an individual CI in a service, the CI's significance value only changes within that service. If the CI belongs to other services, it retains its previous significance value in those services.
This behavior helps ensure that you can maintain different significance values for the same CI if it is more or less important to other services.
