  • 1.  Create and Update Jaspersoft Users job is only creating 8 users.

    Hi All,

     

    We have completed the jaspersoft installation, after that we have generated the keystore file(filled the same name of organization in CSA also). Then we have imported the content in Application server.

    Then we tried running the job. Job successfully completed. But only 8 users were created out of 2736 users.

     

    Can anyone help us why  we are not able to create the 2736 users jaspersoft. (Attached job log also)

     

    Do we need to give any extra permission to the users to create them in Jaspersoft.

    Hello Agin,

                      'Create and Update Jaspersoft Users' job synchronises only those CA PPM resources with Jaspersoft who are Active and have at least one Advanced Reporting security access right.

    To run reports, do all users has to be created in the Jaspersoft also? What will be the password for the users created in the jaspersoft.

    Hi Agin,

     

    Why do you need password for the users created in Jaspersoft, its an embedded system and once you login to CA PPM you will be able to run the reports.

    All users need to be created in the jaspersoft system to run reports. Am i correct?

     

    One more thing i want to know is, How frequently we have to run the create and update user job and DWH job?

    Hi Agin,

     

    It depends on the use case, if you want all your users to run report then you need to add the rights Advance Reporting to all your users.

     

    The full sync is probably  once a week or when you add new users and they need to run the reports.

    CA PPM resources' synch with Jaspersoft can happen in two ways:

    1) By executing the 'Create and Update Jaspersoft Users' job or

    2) Interactive Synch - This means when user first time access 'Advanced Reporting' option from CA PPM, user record is created in JSFT, if the user does not already exist in JSFT.
