Error: ++Cast To or ++Cast from

  • 1.  Error: ++Cast To or ++Cast from

    In my project, I need to agregate more code in the function UIBASIC/Meta.CallSelector,

    For that reason I created my own function call: Meta-CallSelector.

     

    I copied the content from the UIBASIC/Meta.CallSelector to Meta-CallSelector, but

    it displays an error as shown in the Pictures added.

     

    "Meta_CallSelector_Plex.jpg" is the UIBASIC/Meta.CallSelector

    "Own_Meta_CallSelector_1.jpg" is my function

    "error.jpg" is the error when I try to make a ++cast ...

     

    I've tried to make a "++Cast To variable, query" in a different function with the respect

    variable and query, but it's doesnt' work.

     

    What could be the problem ?

    Hi there -

     

    this is a bug. You should be able to get a fix from CA support. Issue# was: CA Support Request 00192266 - PDS: ++CAST Syntax check fails.

    I was trying to see this case, but it show me the following message:  You do not have access to view this case.

     

    How could I get the access to this case ?? or, could You share the fix in this page ???

    Lenn,

    An issue was opened for this, but it has not yet been resolved.  The Problem Number for this is #2413 and we are working on providing a fix for the release/build that the customer is currently using.

    We cannot post test fixes on the community, but this issue has been resolved in a test fix on top of Plex 7.1 Build 26.005. The Problem Number for the fix is 2413.  So, if anyone else encounters this problem, you can look in the "Cumulative Update" notes that come with each build to check whether this Problem Number is included in the build.  If it is not included, please open a new Support Case to request the fix for Problem Number 2413.

    Hello Lorenz,

     

    Not yet, I'm waiting the answer of CA's engineers . I'm using Plex r7.1   (Build 26.005).

    The fix for Problem #2413 was made on top of Build 26.004 for Plex 7.1.

    I looked this issue up for you, and found that the Problem Number is 2413.  So, you can open a new case for this to request the fix for Problem #2413, and we will get that to you.
