How to resolve ERROR state during APIGW 9.1 platform upgrade?

  • 1.  How to resolve ERROR state during APIGW 9.1 platform upgrade?

During platform upgrade to APIGW 9.1 we got an error state during upload. Now we got this:

Patch ID Layer7_PlatformUpdate_64bit_v9.1.00 (Upgrades the Layer 7 64bit Platform to the 9.1.00 version. This patch requires that the 9.0.00 Platform Update be installed first. It also requires a restart of the Layer 7 Appliance.) is ERROR, last modified on 2016-07-12T15:43:49+0200

We cannot delete the upgrade, and we allso cannot install or upload again.

    How to fix this?

    Sebastian,

Good evening. When the patch file is upload through the ssgconfig menu, the gateway uploads a copy in the /opt/SecureSpan/Controller/var/patches directory along with another temporary directory. The main files to focus on are in the patches directory. For each L7P patch file uploaded there are 3 files created with the extension .lck, .status, and .L7P. To clear the patch from the gateway record remove all 3 files for the problematic release. As a good measure for all other releases it is recommended to remove the L7P files so that the status is retained but the file space is reclaimed.

If a problem does occur, support will need to get a copy of the /opt/SecureSpan/Gateway/node/default/var/logs/ssg.log, /opt/SecureSpan/Controller/var/logs/sspc.log, and /opt/SecureSpan/Controller/var/log/patches.log files to help assistance with troubleshooting.

    Sincerely,
