Database support for Developer Portal

At the moment only MySQL 5.5 and 5.7 are supported databases for the external Portal database in a Production environment.
Other components like Gateway, MAG, OTK are moving to MySQL v8. And for API Gateway v10 it is the only supported MySQL database version.

Any news or thoughts on when we might expect MySQL v8 support for API Developer Portal?

Our Broadcom Product Management team  are planning to evaluate the feature as part of the current Agile PI.  Hopefully it will not be long before delivered and I will try and remember to update this as soon as I get more information on progress.

Any news on MySQLv8 support for the Developer Portal.
I thought it was announced for the current PI. But no formal date was communicated.

Without a date we are forced to invest in a seperate MySQLv5.7 database environment (besides a MySQLv8 environment for Gateway), specific for the Portal.
But it would be a waste if support is added e.g. in January ....

Any help is appreciated.

Hi:

Have not seen any completed work on this feature that is under consideration by PM but Portal 5.1 is planned by Product Management for Release in 2nd quarter of 2021 so if it is included would be delivered in that time-frame.

That is great news, finnaly the support for MySQL 8. I have another question (I was searching but I didn't find it); is there any special procedure/consideration to upgrade the MySQL 5.7 data base?
