Missing 'Configure' in Option Gear/Cog Wheel

Hi,
As the title suggest, there is no 'Configure' option on the cog wheel. This only happen on the task object. (Task tab under a project)

I have check the security. 2 users have the same exact security but one is seeing configure but the other does not.

Not being a techie I should first try another browser, then another workstation to see if it browser or workstation related or account related.

The at least clear the browser cache and reinstall depending how the above goes.

Your Admin might have disabled configuration on this page. 
It can be turned off in the Studio, Object, Views, in the "Options" settings for a specific page.

Configuration is turned on and not a browser issue.

As the Configure option is missing for an user, while it is available for others, you might want to check the following KB:

Hi there, some times the portlet has a option, its not on the object, thats a portlet, check on that portlet if the configuration is marked. Check it out, cheers!

Can you try restoring the defaults on the task list view for the user who is missing the Options cog icon to Configure the page?

The issue where a user is missing this icon is listed as a symptom on the following kb: Clarity PPM: How to Restore Defaults to Resolve Corruption or System Errors
