    Hi,

    I am trying to decide if the below component in the licensing model is required for our project.  If our project has NO non-relational data sources, can we ignore this one?
    On what situation we need this?

    TDMDSF990 CA Test Data Manager Data Source Flat Files Non-Mainframe Data Source Type A single license instance that covers non relational sources including JSON, XML, CSV, EXCEL, NoSQL database exports, etc.

    I had a glance of all datasources in our project. Mostly it is MS SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, VSAM, Mainframe etc.  If we need to mask datasources link Ingres, Maria DB, MS-Access etc. -> then this component is helpful?
    On what situation we need this particular component?

    Thanks
    Rama

    Please reference the Non-Relational Data Sources section of the Supported Data Sources documentation for the file types supported.
    The Mainframe CFD file you mention above would not be covered by the Flat Files non-Mainframe license.   You would need a Mainframe license for that.

    @Scott Schmitz Thank you so much Scott for your kind help with my query!

    I took the below updates from the Tech Guide link you have provided. I dont see any updates for  .zip  and .dat.  Can someone from product team help?
    I think .zip we can ignore  right?  It depends on what kind of file is zipped?  Not sure about .dat

    @Ramalakshmi Sugavanam

    The contents of the .zip and .dat file would guide whether TDM can mask the files - does the unzipped file/package contain supported and/or delimited files.   Same for .dat - does it have a consistent structure that can be parse and masked.
