Does CA SiteMinder (Single Sign On) gave a capability to view all the live sessions when using Non Persistent Cookies

    Hi,

I'm not quite understand the question. Can you provide more information on what you want to achieve? Do you have a use case that you want to achive? I'm guessing you want to monitor all live end user sessions which use session cookie. If that's the case, Siteminder don't have the graphical capability to view. However, you can check smaccess log to see what user login (auth/az) to the application.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Kar Meng

    Hi,

CA Services Global Deployment has a separately priced Pre-built Packaged Work Product that sounds like it will meet your need for identifying active sessions. Please go to the following link which is on the CA Support website:

CA Global Delivery Packaged Work Product Download Index - CA Technologies

Then scroll down to "User Session Monitor for CA Single Sign-On". You can download the kit which contains an Installation and Administration Guide that describes the features of the PWP. Please contact your CA Sales representative or Sid Mautte (Sidney.MautteIII@ca.com) for more information.

The PWP Module is only for Persistent Session. SStore is a pre-requisite.

The original question refers to "Non Persistent Cookies", not Non-persistent sessions. There is a big difference between the two. Non persistent cookies refers to cookies that are not stored on the user's disk drive and has nothing to do with SiteMinder persistent sessions which you correctly state requires use of the session store.

If Vipin is willing to implement the SiteMinder session store and designate all realms to be persistent, the the GD PWP will work, regardless of whether or not persistent or non persistent cookies are used.

If Vipin is not willing to use the SiteMinder session store, then the GD PWP will not work, and I don't know of any solution to the problem.
