I have created an External Link action on the Project object and wish to assign it to a link on my portlet, however it does not show up in the drop down list. I have gone through another thread similar to this one, however there I did not find an answer to why the action would not show up. How is the external link action supposed to be used, if it is not supposed to be assigned to a link? I would appreciate some help in this regard.
