    Hello,
    We are setting up a sqlserver probe with maybe about 15+ sql server profiles.
    We are noticing that the probe is starting to freeze up and takes a very long time to respond after applying any changes to the probe.

    1. Is there a way to bump up the max memory on this probe or is it not a java based probe so this isn't possible?

    2. Are there are tweaks in the RAW or <setup> section of the probe that may help?
    <setup>
    probe_sid = 1.1.13.4
    loglevel = 3
    logfile = sqlserver_monitor.log
    timeout_hb = 30 sec
    sql_hb = 100
    suppress_all_alarms = no
    report_only = no
    alarm_level = minor
    migrate_v2_cfg = yes
    migrate_v3_cfg = no
    qos_group = QOS_SQLSERVER
    use_builtIn_account = yes
    flag_reverttoself = yes
    useRemoteFqdn = no
    usm_display_db_level = 0
    qos_v2_compatibility = no
    logsize = 15000
    restart_alarm_clear = no
    default_modify = 1
    </setup>

    TIA...

    no the sqlserver probe is a C++ probe that does not have a memory configuration option to it.
    how large is your .cfg for the probe?
    what version of the controller are you using?

    Robot v9.20HF9
    sqlserver v5.42

    saved the cfg and its 543KB.

    Came across this (sorry can't remember if it was sqlserver or another probe).
    Make a config change and then sit and wait and wait till it finished.

    The problem was exclusive to the IM configure and dev reported that it was because the wait was for the probe to finish validating every profile.

    In AC the configure GUI is available again right away and each profile stays in a pending state until validated.

    Bottom line is, this may be working as designed and a limitation of the thick client.

    Hi Dan,

    You could try sqlserver-5.42-T3.zip (attached) - sorry I cannot find release notes for this package version. If no change you could attach your .cfg and we could test it.
