  • 1.  bulk export software packages

    Hi All,

I am going to upgrade the ITCM from 12.0 to 12.9. Since we have almost 300 software packages need to export to new ITCM, is it possible to export the package in a bulk from ITCM 12.0 then import to 12.9 in a bulk as well?

    Hi Terry,

As v14 is available now you should think about migrating to that release rather than 12.9

When migrating to a new release it’s always a good idea to review what you are moving and leave the old rubbish behind ☺

In the SW library you can use multi select buy CTRL A for all packages, or using ALT and SHIFT to select multiple or ranges.  Then right click and select export Library image. Move the folder that is created to the new server, then drag and drop (or copy paste) it on the SW library to import all the packages.

If you have a queries defined as procedure prerequisites then they must be moved first.

    Rgds,

    Steve.

One caveat – Added Procedures (procedures defined AFTER the package was sealed) will not be exported. Contact support for a SQL script to export these and instructions on how to import them.
