Missing right or privilege to create folder in "my favorites"?

Hello to everybody,

I have a question about AWI 12.2.1HF4:

Our users are able to add objects like JOBP or JOBS to "my favorites" but they are not able to create a new folder in "my favorites". Generally the users can create folder in their designated folders. As an admin I can create such a folder... so it must be a missing user-right or -privilege, but I didn't find anything about that. The docu isn't helpful either.

Does anyone know where or how I can enable the users to create such folders in "my favorites"?

Hi Bernhard,
If you activate "SECURITY_AUDIT_FAILURE" ( i used those options 'HOST_ACCESS,LOGON,OBJECT_ACCESS,USER_PRIVILEGE' ) in your UC_CLIENT_SETTINGS you will have detailed error messages on what is missing. It makes it much easier to debug missing rights.

thanks for your advice but we get no error messages. Our users get not the possibility to create a folder in "my favorites"... the context menu is empty, the button "Ordner hinzufügen" (create folder?) is disabled.

Hi Bernhard,
Do the users have following access rights ?

Write access (W) is required for User Group (USRG) objects to which favorites should be added. This applies regardless of the privilege "Manage favorites on user group level".
Write access (W) is required for Folder (FOLD) objects where favorites will be added.

Hallo Thierry,

thanks for your help. Our users have the Write access for User Groups. "My Favorites" is not an regular folder so i can't grant a special access to it.
Our user don't even have the opportunity to create a folder... as you can see at the screenshots. I have no idea!?!

Hi Bernhard,
My Favorites is actually a normal folder. As you can see hereunder, i do give special rights to it for the usergroup.

Maybe that's what you are missing.
