  • 1.  Attachment URL Different between Edit and List Views

    When adding an attachment column to a list view, the URL properties for attachment is very different from that found for the same document on the instance's edit view.

     

    Below, are the two URL's:

     

    • The URL from the Edit Properties View works fine.
    • The URL from the List view produces an error message

     

    Seems to be same issue as was raised here:  http://www.ca.com/us/support/ca-support-online/product-content/knowledgebase-articles/tec545541.aspx

    for Defect # CLRT-56953.

    Last Modified Date:  2/6/2013

    Solution:  A defect was written to correct this issue. Defect # CLRT-56953 and will be considered by development to be address on Clarity 12.2.

    We are on 14.2, on-prem.

     

    Was this defect ever fixed?  If yes, it appears to be back.  Workaround available?

    That bug was fixed in 13.2.

     

    However, that bug was only opened for the idea object.  So it might be that you are running into a similar problem on the project object that has never been fixed.

     

    Please open a case with support so we can investigate this problem with you further.

    Hi Jeanne,

     

    I am seeing the similar issue in task object where document link appears to be different in list view and when we click on that link it gives below error message.

    We are on CA PPM 14.2 patch 5 on premise, and link difference is exactly same as what dale has defined in above comment.

     

    Error Message:

    DMS-05100: You do not have permission to access this document. Contact the document owner for access to the document.
