'Assign To' in Action Item in Collaboration tab

Hi Folks,

 

In Projects --> Collaboration tab --> Action Item, auto-suggest is not working for ‘Assign To’ filter. We could see that this ‘Assign to’ browse uses ‘Project Resource Associations’ lookup which retrieves only the resources from the project. Even though, the ‘Auto-Suggest’ option  has been enabled for this lookup, it does not work as expected.

 

The ‘Assign to’ in Action Item in Organizer works as expected which uses ‘Active and Locked Resources’ lookup.

 

I am not sure if we are missing anything in the analysis, please let us know if there is any work around for this.

Sounds like a BUG. Raise a case?

 

If I recall right, that lookup is meant to only display project participants ; but agree it should auto-suggest.

Problem:

The auto-suggest feature does not work on the "Assigned to Team" lookup Filter field on Gantt.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create a project.
2. Add some team members.
3. Create a task and assign the team members to it.
4. On the tasks tab, open the Gantt.
5. On the Gantt view, through the configure options, change the filter section layout.
6. Add the "Assigned to Team" field.
7. Click on the binoculars and you find the list of team members.
8. Start typing the name of a team member.

Expected Result: The auto-suggest feature to suggest you the matching resource.

Actual Result:  The auto-suggest does not work.

Environment:

Applies to all supported PAS environments for specified releases.

Cause:

Caused by CLRT-76592

Resolution/Workaround:

Resolved in CA PPM 14.3

Workaround:  Use browse button instead of auto-suggest to select the team members.
