Physical inventory information

Hi,

Customer have a requirement of listing all the device inventory information. can this achieve through spectrum or performance manager platforms? 

customer need to export the list as a report. ex:- fan , power supply unit, interface line cards serial and models list

Hello,

1) If you use a reporting (SRMDB) db for DX Spectrum , try to integrate it with Jaspersoft then you can use Jaspersoft OoB reports in "Asset domain"

2)Another option you can use REST interface and you should make some REST API calls on devices and attributes.

Hi Oguzhan,

thank you for the information, yes we are integrated both spectrum and pm with jasperserver and currently jasperserver is down. no reports generating and ca troubleshooting from months now. i will check this and come back to you once jasper issue sorted.

no easy way to get this info in performance management.  what is the use case for such an extensive list?

Joseph,

they are currently using CISCO prime and we are trying to load all those devices in to DX spectrum or PM. this is a question raised in the discussion and they are taking a report of the inventory of a particular device. ( device integration component serials etc. ) this will help them to maintain the inventory in the monitoring system and update it if any device component replaced.
