20.4 - The server selected protocol version TLS10 is not accepted by client preferences [TLS12]

Hi,
I am attempting to install 20.4 on a test env, and keep getting the error below. Is there a workaround , or does 20.4 only support TLS 1.2 ?

Hi Nick,
had the same problem updating from UIM 20.3.3 to UIM 20.4. Was using MS SQL Server 2014. Problem was solved after installing SP3.

Thanks Gregor. My test env is 2014, so I can try that. One of our live DBs is 2012 :\

We have observed that problem of this nature got resolved after updating  the MS SQL 2014 DB with SP3 patch. If SP3 update did not solve the problem please raise support ticket for quicker resolution.

Regarding the error:

The driver could not establish a secure connection to SQL Server by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption. Error: "The server selected protocol version TLS10 is not accepted by client preferences[TLS12]".ClientConnectionId...

Since the MS SQL Server 2014 SP3 patch has already been applied, try configuring the database to allow TLS 1.2 connections or deploy java_jre 2.07 or higher which allows TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 MSSQL connections.

Also make sure that you first:

1. Install the latest Windows updates / patches to both the UIM Database server and the UIM Primary hub server. 
2. Upgrade the MSSQL Server to 2014 Service Pack 3 (SP3) https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=57474
