You might want to check you have selected "FOLLOW TRANSACTION PATH."

I see a similar question was posted in the past, it could be the case that your selection does not include any start point see experience card - the given filter selects no Experiences
Also, in 10.5.1 we made some changes for custom attributes so they are not longer available in Experience View, fyi,

Thanks for that tidbid about custom attributes change for 10.5.1 and newer. I just recently upgraded our APM infra to v10.5.2 SP2. So, this info helps if I ever come across it.
