Data Cloning Vs Data Bulking

Hi TDM team,

Could you please help me to understand the difference between Data Cloning and Data Bulking with respect to CA TDM?  From my understanding, both are same. Please clarify.
Also, how can we implement this with CA TDM? any links/documents will be helpful.

Hi Rama,

I look at Cloning to be more specific than Bulking.   

Cloning, when I demonstrate it, utilizes a Subset definition to populate a DataPool (use the Settings->Data Creation Assistant in Datamaker to enable the creation).    Cloning will replicate (usually) one record a number of times.

Bulking is when you just need to duplicate data (multiply it) when the quantity of data is not at the scale you desire.  By bulking, you can increase the quantities x2/x4/x8 etc.  You can create scripts to enable this by selecting Publish Data Pool (Datamaker Only), and choosing "Data Multiplier Script" as the Target.
