I also try in CA Spectrum and looks good in spectrum below

Trying the same MIB on CA Performance Management 3.1 does import this MIB correctly, this appears to been have corrected in a later release.

    1) Have you verified whether the metric you are looking for is certified in a later release:

    http://serviceassurance.ca.com/im/

    2) Another way to do this would be to use the REST method as outlined here to create or extend an existing Vendor certification:

    https://docops.ca.com/ca-performance-management/2-5/en/building/self-certification/create-or-extend-vendor-certifications

If you have an existing vendor certification  you wanted to add a metric to, the extension method would be the way to go rather than creating a new vendor certification.

Let us know if this helps.

    Hello eksi,

I would recommend using the REST/XML method as outlined in the documentation link above.

Using this method provides much more flexibility than the Vendor Certification editor UI.

    Best Regards,

    Hi eksi,

I have 2.5 test box and I would try to reproduce your problem.

However I cannot found the Huawei-IPPool mib.

If you let me know where the download site or attaching it here, I could progress to test for you.

    Thanks, Naruhiro

    Hi eksi,

Thank you upload the mib file.

Unfortunately your problem does not reproduced in my fresh installed 2.5 environment.

To compile the HUAWEI-IPPOOL-MIB, it also required HUAWEI-MIB and IPV6-TC mibs.

** To compile the HUAWAI-IPPOOL-MIB, it required also HUAWEI-MIB and IPV6-TC mibs also.

** It successfully appear the detail MIBs info.

So I guess the phenomenon belongs in your environment.

If it still reproduces even newly fresh installed box, examine to use REST/XML method as kk_sup mentioned.

Finally, please note the 2.5 version will end of support state on this month.

    Thanks, Naruhiro

    Hi eksi,

Can you import the XML from the Vendor Certifications list?

If yes, you will see the Metric Expressions by clicking the Edit button.

    So you can modify it.

If you still have any problem of the XML importing or editing,

other stored custom Vendor Cert definition may cause severe problem.

So I recommend to remove all Custom Vender Certs or reinstall CAPC/CAPM.

    Thanks, Naruhiro

    Hi Eksi,

Could you tail the PCService.log on the performance center box when you are trying to load the mib.

    Path - /opt/CA/PerformanceCenter/PC/logs

Check if you see any errors while the mib is being read ?

    If possible attach the log.

    Regards,

    Arvind Sugurr

As far as reviewing eksi uploaded PCServices.log, the following error repeated.

    ERROR | RIB/VendorCertsCacheScanner | 2017-06-09 02:36:37,668 | com.ca.im.portal.plugins.polaris.cache.vendorcerts.VendorCertsScanner
          | Unexpected exception occurred during refresh of known vendor certifications
    org.apache.commons.lang.SerializationException: java.io.EOFException

So I recommend remove the HUAWEI MIBs once and re-load again.

    Thanks, Naruhiro

    Hi eksi,

You can remove the custom VC entry by removing resource xml file from /opt/IMDataAggregator/apache-karaf-*/certifications/custom/vendor_certs/ directory and restart DA service.

This does not remove the custom data from the repository. There's no supported method yet to completely remove a vendor certification.

    Hi eksi,

I recommend to capture the DcDebug for further investigation.

And I feel you would better create a support case for analyzing the root cause of the No Data Display problem.

** About DcDebug see following link.

    Thanks,
