    Hi Peter,

I was able to access this page:
    https://techdocs.broadcom.com/content/broadcom/techdocs/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/business-management/ca-service-management/17-2/Release-Notes/CA-Service-Management-17_2_0_4-Release-Notes/Fixed-Issues---17_2_0_4.html
    Have I misunderstood your point?

    Regards,

    Karen

    Hi Karen,
    yes you missunderstood ...

We didn't know that 17.2.04 is already available.
It was pure random that I saw it in techdocs.

    Nobody informed about availability.
Nothing about it that you could find in communities that it is available .... AND
Support said that it will be available around 23rd December ... (in a case-update today !)

Very .... don't know how to say it.

    Regards,
    Peter

Thank you for clarifying the issue Peter.

I see that  new versions and rollup patches were being announced under the "Just Release" blog area but that has not been kept up-to-date ( https://community.broadcom.com/enterprisesoftware/browse/blogs?CommunityKey=e2cd3188-49bc-4f38-88f1-74260f56fa66&tab=recentcommunityblogsdashboard ).

I will flag this issue to management internally. Please open a support case on this if you would like to track the resolution.  The 17.2 RU5 is the rollup that is due out at the end of December 2019 (its always possible that date may move out somewhat).

    Regards, Karen

    Hi Karen,
it is not possible to create a CASE:
    - GC: Dropdowns do not work
    - IE/Edge: hangs up wit following description:

    Hi,

as in community discussed with Karen there has been no information (nowhere) that 17.2.04 is available for download.

    See: https://community.broadcom.com/enterprisesoftware/communities/community-home/digestviewer/viewthread?GroupId=2125&MessageKey=9feb20e1-3e34-47ef-8fd8-bbe6154af762&CommunityKey=e2cd3188-49bc-4f38-88f1-74260f56fa66&tab=digestviewer&ReturnUrl=%2fenterprisesoftware%2fcommunities%2fcommunity-home%2fdigestviewer%3fcommunitykey%3de2cd3188-49bc-4f38-88f1-74260f56fa66

Users should be informed about upgrades timely and it would be great as it has been in former (CA-)times that your are informed autmatically via email.

    Regards,

    Peter

    Hi Peter,

    The 17.2.0.4 announcement is now available. ( https://community.broadcom.com/enterprisesoftware/blogs/jhapr01/2019/11/22/ca-service-management-172-roll-up-patch-4-released )

I expect that the announcement of the latest rollup for version 17.1 (i.e. RU6) will also appear shortly, and that the blog will be updated with availability of rollups in the future as soon as possible and in-line with corresponding update to the online product documentation (i.e. Fix Lists, etc).

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

    Regards,

    Karen

    Hi Karen,
    great, thanks a lot.

Is it correct that new entries in Blog do not cause emails?
Would be great to get eMail, when there are new entries in 'just released'.

    Regards,
    Peter

    Hi Peter,

That is correct. Only Discussions and Events generate emails. If blog posters wish to call attention to their blogs, they will need to post a discussion calling them out. The communities platform vendor is aware of this limitation. No commitment to change the behavior has been made at this time.

    Regards,

    Chris

    Hi Chris,
why I was asking is ... in former times ;-) we could register to get eMails when new releases where available.
It would be great to get something like this again in the future.
We and our customers cannot look every day in 'just released' or on download-page whether something new is available.
Would be a great feature to be informed automatically, when something new is available.

    Regards,
    Peter

I believe that's something that may still be available but was never a part of the communities. Please post your inquiry to the CA Customer Care community. They should be able to assist. You can find the link on the main ESD communities landing page.

    Chris
