  • 1.  Robot inactive alert-polling interval

    Hi All,

Just want to understand the logic of robot inactive alert.

As far i have read in articles, if the hub update interval is 15 mins and robot inactive alert will get triggered  after 21 minutes(15+15/2(7)=21 minutes)

We need to have an inactive alert on the 5th minute. So i have set the interval as  3 minutes , so that alert will get triggered at 41/2 th(3+1.5=45.5) minute.

But have received an alert after 8 minutes. When i had set the hub update interval as 1 minute i have received an inactive alert after 4 minutes.

What is the logic behind this? To receive an inactive alert at 5th minute what interval should I configure.

    Regards,
    Usha

    Hi

The timings are approximate around 1.5 times the setting

The hub expects to hear again from robot approximately around the "Hub update interval" x 1.5 (e.g: 15 x 1.5 = 22.5 minutes) and if it doesn't, then the hub does a robot check-in to check robot status.
If robot is non-responsive to the hubs robot check-in, then the hub will generate "Robot <robot name> is inactive" alarm.
