In the upcoming release of Google's Chrome 80 browser, Google is changing the default behavior of their browser.  The change restricts how the browser sends cookies to servers.   Please read the attached document.

    HI All,

The solution patches are being uploaded to this location...the logistics will take a good part of today, but should be visible shortly.

Herb, the link you provided suggests to me the Web Access Manager is at least one of the affected components (#SMWAM at the end of the link).  I just checked that page and it looks like it was last revised Sept 6, 2019.  Will the solution patches be packaged as new CR number (echoing Karthik's question), or made available in some other way?  It would be helpful if a succinct list of all affected components could be provided.

It would be great if you could provide some update on this so that we can plan to patch the Agents before the Chrome pushes their change.

    Thanks,
    Karthik

    Hi

    I see web agent patches for r12.52 SP1 CR5, CR9, CR9a and CR10.

We are currently running web agent r12.52 SP1 CR8
Can I apply one of the above patches to CR8?
Or do I need to do a standard upgrade to CR10 first?

    Thanks

    Pearse

    Hi Pearse Kennedy,

    You can't apply the patches from r12.52 SP1 CR5, CR9, CR9a and CR10 to r12.52 SP1 CR8.

You can upgrade the web agent to r12.52 SP1 CR10 and make use of CR10 patches.

Please contact Broadcom Support team in case if you are looking for r12.52 SP1 CR8 patches, with the following information.

    - Operating System version and bit information [32/64bit]

    - Web Server name, version and bit information [32/64bit]

    - Are you using any NIN/dev-fix on top of your existing agent

    Thank you.

    Regards,
    Siva.

    Hi,

    I have one question.

Currently my SiteMinder Policy Server is 12.52 SP1 CR09 and agent is 12.5.
Can we go ahead upgrade my agent to 12.52 SP1 CR10 even my SiteMinder Policy Server is in CR09?

    Thanks

    Mark

Yes you can.   Agents can be higher CR#'s than the Policy Server as long as the SP#'s match.

    Hi,

I have one question.. I know Chrome enabled samesite last month.

Right now we have CA Secure Proxy Server and version is 12.52 , Update 0100 , Label 499

I know I need to upgrade agent to CR 10 but I am not sure about CA Secure Proxy. Do I need to upgrade CA Secure Proxy to 12.52 SP1 CR10 or just upgrade agent to CR 10 in the CA Secure Proxy server?

    Thanks

    Mark

    Hi Mark,

Per your Support case, the R12.52 SP1 Secure Proxy Server is EOS and will you need to upgrade to the exact same version as your new R12.8.0.1 or higher Policy Server to pick up the Enhancement for the SameSite Issue.

    Thanks,

    Rick
