  • 1.  IE 11 Compatibility for ServiceDesk 12.9

    Besides the following options to make IE 11 compatible for ServiceDesk 12.9(as per ServiceDesk Matrix-https://support.ca.com/phpdocs/0/8165/8165_r129_CertMatrix.pdf):

    • Add the CA SDM URL to intranet zone.
    • Add the CA SDM hostname to the Compatibility view settings of the browser.
    • Make sure that the Documentation Mode is set to Default.

     

     

    The following test fixes also addresses compatibility usage for ServiceDesk 12.9 as well:

    • T5U3311 and CO-REQ T5U3341
    • T5W2198

    Should be noted that the Problems being addressed in the patches mentioned are:

     

    USRD Problem 2765

    and

    USRD Problem 2964

     

    These fixes are not included in any current published fix, but in case a future published fix does these would be the problem numbers referenced. Also note that because a test fix may be withdrawn, it's usually better to reference the problem number if you open a Support case to receive the patches mentioned.

    We use SDM 12.9/IE 11 and have T5U3311 and Co-Req T5U3341 applied. We are finding for Analysts that have 2 monitors, when SDM is maximized in the secondary monitor popups are being cut off at the edge of the screen. If SDM is maximized in the primary window, popups overlap to the secondary screen.

    FYI, my support ticket is still open regarding the issue I have detailed with SDM 12.9, dual monitors and Internet Explorer 11.

     

    *Update 08/09/2015* - Unfortunately the issue could not be fixed, using Google Chrome is the workaround, which isn't possible in our organization.

    The popup behavior of Internet Explorer 11 & SDM 12.9 is very frustrating, in particular for those with dual monitors. Can anyone using SDM 14.1.02 confirm if there has been any improvement with that release?
